Priority Freight Succeed in preventing LINE STOP!

During the Truckers Protests around Europe against the sudden escalated diesel costs, at Priority Freight we burnt the midnight oil holding a series of meetings alerting colleagues within our network to the contingency plans we would implement according to requirements
This proactive planning stood us in good stead when the Spanish / French Border and a large number of internal roads within Spain were blocked by militant Unionists.
It could have been any of our senior management, but the Chairman of our Companies, George Williams was able to be in Seville Airport the quickest. Sleeves rolled up for the task he worked non-stop personally supervising the speedy loading of several Aircraft with car parts from a host of plants in both Spain and Portugal. 'With constant contact with our HQ in Dover & Midlands office, those companies that used our services during the dispute had all their supplies ahead of the deadlines set,' Carl Partridge, Midlands Office Director proudly announced. It was truly a family affair as each of the Williams Directors and fellow colleagues were involved in the air lift. Porto, Barcelona, Vitoria and Bilbao Airports were also extensively used to avert what would otherwise have been a serious blow to our clients in the Motor Industry in the UK, France, Spain and Germany.

Priority Freight seemed to be the only company that was providing the solutions among Premium Freight transport providers, and are able to boast that we kept production lines running unlike our competitors. Word spread quickly during the strike that Priority Freight was getting the job done unlike others, and as a result we acquired a new European OEM customer in Germany and a Tier 1 supplier in France.
As most trucking companies were not operating along the roads in Spain and Portugal, we worked with our express partners in Spain and Portugal in coming up with solutions to provide dozens of white vans to fulfil the task. We were even contracted by 2 OEMs to provide road transport to the airports for other Premium Freight suppliers who had failed to provide this when they had promised they could do so.
Priority Freight also saved our clients considerable money on the transport services we provided compared to our competitors. Due to the fact that we were appointed to many manufacturers both OEM and Tier 1 suppliers, by discussing the overall problems they were facing and fully understanding their needs and time constraints, we were able to suggest solutions whereby we consolidated shipments at the airports from different suppliers onto larger air cargo charters, with express distribution from the destination airports to the various OEMs, thus significantly reducing overall costs. Our Partnership approach with our large client base within the automotive industry proved to be very beneficial, saving money and keeping their businesses up and running.
Drivers reported to George that they had personally witnessed two truck drivers being physically attacked for disobeying the unions' control. Reports at the Airport in Seville revealed that the attacks were serious and as a result, one driver (not in our employ) was fatally wounded.
But the mission was accomplished and all agreed that had similar demonstrations taken place elsewhere in Europe at the same time, we would have coped. Such is the belief in our network and our proactive planning.
