Case Study: Urgent Car Parts (51 Tonnes)

Priority Freight was contacted to move 51 tonnes of urgent car parts for a production line from Canada to the UK. The goods needed to be collected and delivered within 5 days of request. Our client had been quoted a price of over £150k for a dedicated air charter by one of our competitors for airport to airport only.

• We knew that we could offer a much better solution.
• We checked out all scheduled air cargo and air charter providers and found that we could book enough space over 5 flights with scheduled airlines to meet the delivery deadline.
• We then organised the road transport in Canada and the UK to and from the airports along with airport handling and customs.
• We were up against competitors from both the UK and N. America to come up with the best solution and cheapest price. When our competitors learnt of our price and solution from our client when they were advised they were not going to receive the contract, they replied it could not be done for the price.
• We delivered all goods intact and on time as we promised. Our know-how and hard work saved our customer £000’s in transport costs and kept their production line running without down time.
• We were over £5000 cheaper than our nearest competitor and more than £100k cheaper than the most expensive!

Case Study: Priority Freight Copacabana with Brazil emergency!

When the first call from a new client comes in, you are under pressure to deliver everything you promised them in that meeting two months before.  We know that when a client begins to use us in place of their regular supplier, the trust they suddenly place in us must be more than matched by our service and operation.
Recently, a large Tier 1 automotive supplier in France did just that. The first call from them was for an express transport to move 4 cartons of automotive   parts from their factory in Northern France to Curitiba, Brazil.

The safest and most cost effective way to avoid a costly line stoppage at the OEM in Brazil was to arrange an On Board Courier. To add the personal touch we selected one of our multi-lingual office team members with vast international travel experience, whom we were certain, could also deal with virtually any potential issue en-route. Quick as a Flash within 10 minutes the entire job had been arranged. All flights and train tickets had been booked including internal flights within Brazil, all customs procedures arranged and our local agents in Sao Paulo were ready to assist with connecting flights to the destination 450km south of Sao Paolo.

Loading on Friday morning, we personally delivered the parts to the factory the next day. The client having given us the opportunity to put into practise our promises of service excellence was suitably satisfied with our operation and relieved that a component shortage did not result in a production nightmare.

To deliver next day in Brazil involved organising a courier van to collect the cartons in northern France to meet our colleague in Paris who had arrived from the UK by train, a flight to Zurich, to connect with the flight to Sao Paolo, a drive across Sao Paolo to the domestic airport accompanied by our local agent, then a flight to Curitiba, and then a taxi to the plant!
