Case Study: Malta Film Shoot

A film shoot in Malta and a few cameras from London were required there in 5 days was all the information we received on the initial call. Ok no problem was our reply.  Our client later that day came back to us with the shipping list…. The shipment had grown to many cameras, sound equipment, lighting, computers, props, costumes and much more besides and could we pick up that evening! The shipment had grown to a full trailer load and required a box trailer with tail lift with 2 drivers to assist with loading and unloading. The client also needed our drivers to help out with errands at the shoot and to store the equipment when not in use. No problem.

Once details finalised:

  • We dispatched our drivers to London for loading.
  • The 1570 mile route through Europe took us into France via the channel tunnel then south past Reims and Lyon, then the Frejus Tunnel through the Alps into Italy. Past Turin, Florence, Rome and Naples they continued to the toe of Italy and caught the 12 hour ferry to Malta.
  • Delivery was made on time and the drivers worked with the film crew for 7 days before packing the equipment up and returning the 1570 mile back to London.

Our client was able to start and finish the shoot on time thanks to our speed of response and logistical expertise leaving him to concentrate on the film shoot.
